Web Design for Various Web Browsers

Few years back there was an unofficial standard in Web design that most Web designers adhered to and that was Internet Explorer. If the Web pages were perfectly looking in Internet Explorer then a Web designer was certain that it looked that way for most Web users. Things have changed, for the better, and today there are at least five Web browsers that Web designers consider when designing pixel perfect Web pages.

In order to make Web pages look the same inside the Web user's windows a lot of HTML and CSS tweaking and testing is necessary. JavaScript also behaves differently such as animation and effects and currently there are speed considerations since new technology is emerging for speeding up execution of JavaScript scripts.

However, for the Web user it is good news that he/she can choose from many Web browsers and that will certainly add to his/hers Web browsing experience. At the end of the day, the Web is all about the Web user. If a Web designer can tweak a Web page into looking nearly the same in major Web browsers and getting the scripts to behave accordingly then it is worth the effort.
