Content is the text of a Web site and any information that can be of value to its visitors including multi-media and interactive content. The content that primarily affects Web site's findability is the text, the letters, words and sentences of a Web site. Making all the pieces of a Web site maximize findability and provide information of highest possible value for its visitors is probably the ultimate goal of content optimization.
Having optimized content for findability only to leave the Web site's content of little value to its visitors is of little use for Web site owners except those seeking other goals than mentioned before. Tricks involving keyword stuffing, inappropriate Alt tag and heading use and over-optimization of Meta tags are the tricks of past.
That does not mean these elements play any less part in overall optimization efforts of any Web site. On the contrary, these elements are very important when used wisely and in harmony with all the other elements of a Web page, complimenting when needed and helping Web users to find what they are looking for.
The data below shows relationships between Meta tags and few other on-page tags that often are targets for search engine optimization. The data is from the same two samples of business blogs we used previously and one larger of general Web sites having favorable search engine positions.

| Title Words in Meta description | 40.3% | 57.7% | 71.8% |
| Meta Desc Words in H1 | 14.8% | 22.9% | 17.3% |
| Meta Desc Words in H2 | 22.7% | 25.7% | 17.9% |
| Meta Desc Words in H3 | 10.8% | 20.0% | 13.2% |
| Meta Desc Words in H4 | 3.4% | 4.6% | 5.9% |
| Meta Desc Words in H5 | 0.0% | 0.6% | 2.0% |
| Meta Desc Words in H6 | 0.6% | 0.0% | 0.4% |
| Meta Desc Words in Text | 51.7% | 64.0% | 75.7% |
| Meta Desc Words in Alt | 3.4% | 2.9% | 14.4% |
| Meta Desc Words in Link Text | 50.0% | 62.3% | 65.1% |
| Meta Desc Words in Title Tag Attribute | 42.6% | 56.0% | 38.5% |

The data shows that Web sites in the business blog samples are less likely to optimize in a "traditional" way except for the heading(H1-3) tags. The reason might be the similarity among blogs having the Title reflected in the heading and therefore that might be a design related issue having to do with the blog management systems.
