Even though Google Chrome is a much newer browser than Firefox it has gained popularity among many. We are biased since we have used the Google Chrome browser since it launched. It is light, responsive and gives a lot of space for viewing Websites.
One of the features that made Firefox very popular is the ability to extend it with all kinds of addons that empowered users to create magic from their browser. Now Google Chrome users have this feature as well and there are already thousands of extensions available.
Web Browser ...the next operating system?We decided to try out two extensions for search engine and content optimization purposes. One is Chrome SEO and the other is SEO Site Tools.
One good thing about Google Chrome extensions is how simple and quick they are installed. It is almost in a snap. This depends of course on your Internet connectivity, but it appears very fast.
Chrome SEO is very popular with many users. With the touch of a button you have info on indexed pages with the major search engines as well as backlinks, traffic rank, domain details and more such as shown on the screenshot below.

The key button gives you the keyword research option where you can type keywords or keyphrases and get keyword suggestions based on your input as shown on the screenshot below. This could be useful for lookup and ideas for content and keyword optimization.

SEO Site Tools is very similar in features as the Chrome SEO, but with different look and feel and appearance. The accordion layout is very responsive and nice as shown on the next screenshot.

SEO Site Tools has a page term feature that extracts terms from a Web page and more content analysis features. This is even more useful than keyword and keyphrase permutation.

One thing to note is that once an open extension window closes it has to be refreshed next time you open it.
