With over 100,000 apps available for Android users the expectations for what can be done with these mobile devices are getting higher.
Since this Website is flavored with advertising and Website marketing we thought it might be a good idea to look around and see what apps are available on the market for Android smartphones that might be useful for advertising, search engine optimization or Website content management. Well, after searching some of the Websites that maintain a directory of Android apps, we found few, but not much.
One app calculates advertising ROI. Another does some SEO checks and there are some alternatives for rank checks. There is a lot of news reading apps that display all kinds of news and we found one that displays SEO tips.
For those tweeting a lot Seesmic has an Android app for Twitter and an iPhone app that enables updating of multiple social networks.
Maybe we did not look hard enough, but we expected more. We know it can be tricky to let small computer do big computer stuff, but we think there is a lot of room on the market for great content and search engine optimization tools for mobile phones.
