Ongoing free advertising discoveries and observations. The survival tool for hard working small and micro Web publishers and Web business owners.
The actual number of existing Web pages is not a known figure, but the number could be 25-200 billion documents and Web pages and perhaps a lot more. Finding the best Web pages and the most relevant ones is not easy when the number of available Web pages is of such volume. That is why we need search engines with different approach in finding and storing Web pages and documents. The next Web site we mention takes a different approach in search.

Searching the Web is in phases. One phase is when you want to search the entire Web quickly and efficiently. That is when you use the major search engines and type in keywords or key phrases and expects relevant results to appear quickly in a traditional way.

Once upon a time, it was exciting to follow new search engines on the Web’s landscape. They were popping up all over the place and many had the potential of becoming the next Alta Vista or the next Excite.

Artificial intelligence is advancing. Computers are able to understand us better than they did ten or twenty years ago, but they are a long way from understanding us completely and perhaps we will never get to that point. Artificial intelligence in search is already in use. Search engines are already trying to understand what we search for and present to us the search results they deem are the best based on our query and perhaps other factors as well such as location. Few search engines actually confirm they use artificial intelligence, but there is at least one which brings into focus the next search engine mentioned in this project.

Search engines are different, we know that, and even the large ones are different. The size of the index doesn't matter if the user interface and search options aren't user friendly. The ideal search engine should allow complex queries that can be narrowed until the user is satisfied. The major search engines have advanced options helping the user to conduct complex queries. There are alternative search engines that have user friendly interface with advanced searching options giving the user more flexibility in searching and you can add your URL for free. One such is the next search engine we mention.

We have been focusing on the first part of this project and that is to find search engines that accept free Web site submissions from the hard working small and micro publishers. When digging for the search engines we have been taken by surprise. Many of the good old search engines have disappeared from the face of the earth or have quit using their own search database, but some are still at it and doing their best to compete with the big ones. Do we really want the Web to be indexed and searchable in three colors? The next search engine has survived for six years. That's something.

When a user conducts a search over the Web he is likely to select a search service that he expects to hold the best answer to his search query. Searching can be fun and it can really be a fun to pick a lesser known search engine the next time you search which brings us to the next search engine we mention in this project.

The Web has always gone through waves of trends. The trend today is Web 2.0 and social something. The trend waves have smaller waves, ripples, inside and that is where the trend effect touches our every day tasks. Few years back the trend was automation and multiplicity. Automatic submission software was used to send thousands of submissions to multiple sites at once. We never liked that even though we tried it like "almost" everybody else at that time. We enjoyed manual submissions, visiting the search engines and Web sites accepting our listings in the hope we would see it next time we visited.

We enjoy simplicity. Simplicity can help a lot in a complicated world. Once it looked like all new Web sites were designed with Flash intro and moving images. Before you could enter a Web site you had to watch a whole movie? Web designers and programmers have learnt to use the technology in the best way for the user and that what the Web is all about, you, the user. The next search engine is simple, but works perfectly.

The Web is ever changing. New Web services new and Web sites are started every day and new technology is invented almost every day. Some of the Web sites we visited frequently years ago are gone, changed or have been merged with some other Web services, but there are exceptions. There are Web sites and Web services out there that are similar to what they were ten years ago, haven't merged with big corporations, have stayed on their course and improved their services.
